Christian
Good initiative. Please go ahead.
"Hi Clark,
I have seen how involved you are in the affairs of your master, and can understand why it is so. It is obvious that, though you claim working in reestablishing the truth about SRCM and Sahaj Marg, you are endoctrinated in this system and just trying to advertise it through the wikipedia window.
I consider this as a dangerous option, and I really want people to be informed about the dark side of the system, that you are not presenting here.
Actually, you are even trying to mask it by controlling information - people can just have a look at your publication activities to understand what I am talking about.
Therefore, I have decided to make a brief intervention in your work here because it seems to be needed.
Wikipedia is not a place for debates, it is an encyclopedia.
It is not a window for a sect, or one more tool for its propaganda activities.
The free discussions, which are not controlled by the sect or its members, and which cannot be falsified as people whish when published, are occuring on blogs that Don recently advertised here, so that people can read them and participate to the debate - something you never did.
Because the problem is complex, it needs a lot of space that wikipedia does not offer, as you have recently recalled - taking this argument to make a real cleanup.
This space is available in the blogs. Therefore, if you are after working on objectivation, you will advertise the blogs here in a visible way, instead of trying to mask it or erase the links.
Of course, you say that these links are already on the first page, but they are not that visible. I want them here at the top of the page, clearly visible. It is not the advertising of an institution, it is an important information about where people can find another taste and enter the debate if they are not ok.
I must warn that if the links I put now are erased again (you are not to decide here because you have the same status as I have), I will request for an arbitration by wikipedia. I must add that I put a visible copy on the french and english blogs of the current message, so that people may know what is happening on wikipedia. I will expose you.
Here is Don's message which was erased by CP-Sakha just after its publication
"So as not to go off on tangents about the value, right or wrong of Sahaj Marg, those who want to discuss the wider aspects of Sahaj Marg can do so at the many blogs on the Web. These are but a few:

Introduction :

Si ils veulent etre sauves, ils doivent etre "loyales" a Chari out autres Maitres Hindous!!!
The 5 cardinal principles for a true disciple.
• Loyalty to the three M's.
• Dedication to the purpose of the Mission.
* Preserving the teaching & practice without distortion.
• Brotherhood.
• Attitude of sharing.
Loyalty to the 3 M's
What is loyalty?
• Loyalty is an unwavering faith in the Master. -Loyalty does not judge the Master.
• Loyalty is the ability to absorb criticism and keep going on and on forever.
• Loyalty is complete obedience to the Master's will.
• Loyalty is the sister of surrender. Without the Master, there is nothing!
• So, loyalty to the Master is everything!
• Out of this grows loyalty to everjthing that He is committed to.
• Loyalty to the mission and method is thus an extension of one's loyalty to the Master.
* This loyalty can on1y grow out of a close association with the Master, and out of an appreciation of His life and work.
• This kind of loyalty is not only personalloyalty, but extends beyond that, to everything else.
• It is like the difference between - love him who loves all, and love all whom he loves.
• It is possible that someone may be personally loyal to the Master (gurumat).
• It is also possible that someone may be loyal to the mission and the method (manmat).
• It is very rare that someone is loyal to both - the Master, and Ris creations.
• 0n1y such a person is 'truly loyal' .
Dedication to the purpose of the Mission.
• Dedication to the Master's purpose can only corne out of complete loyalty to Him.
• It requires total devotion to the Master and His goals.
• It also helps to have a shared vision of the mission and its goals.
• It requires a commitment to make His vision a reality.
Preserving the Teaching & Practice without distortion.
• There are two ways:
• The first is to implement the Master's plan without question or egoistic involvement.
• One simply acts in the way that the Master wants. .One does not question the whys or wherefores.
• This is by far the best way.
• The second way is to question, and then, after applying the mind, accept the Master' s way as the best, and then only act.
* However, this implies judging the Master, and therefore faIls short of the tirst way, at least as far as the loyalty of the person is concemed.
• Master says that it is OK to question when given permission to do so, but only up to a point.
• That point is when the Master decides on a course of action.
* To question beyond this point is disloyalty.
* AIl of us have done this openly or within our hearts at one time or other.
• The only way we can preserve the purity of Master's teaching is if we accept it completely in our hearts, and if our ego is completely at rest.

Loyalty or total faith in the Master
Patrick Fleury - France
The word "loyalty" entered my life Summer 2003 in Paris. As 1 was entering Master's room, 1 heard him say: "ln France, only Guy is loyal to me." This sentence had the effect ofa tsunami on me. Since then, Master's words madetheir way. I understood that loyalty is the same has total submission, total obedience to one's Lord, while the ego is only loyal to itself and has disinterest for the rest of the creation.
ln the light of the tenth maxim, it is easy to observe (and to find the solution) that disloyalty happens daily.Every time the "1" takes Master's place in my thoughts, decisions, or actions, l am dis loyal to my master, to myself. This begins with a 111eal taken without offering it to Him, up to the way we work in the Mission. The older we are in the Mission, the more elevated fonction we have, the more subtle disloyalty becomes, because the intellectual knowledge of Sahaj Marg allows us to develop a high level of hypocrisy. We can give the appearance of submission, obedience, tolerance, softness, love. .. while we only do exactly as we please, forgetting our heart, forgetting our Master..
It takes different ways. To observe it we only.have to look a lot within ourselves, and a little outside. There are so many ways to refuse one order ftom Master, or even worse, to fight against it. For instance when we do not accept a brother's nomination, when we refuse to cooperate with him actively or passively, when we prevent him from fulfilling the task entrusted to him by Master. There is also inertia. The lack of real involvement is an endemic illness in the body of preceptors. AIl this shows us how much we prefer our ego to the Master.
As we could not manage to love each other, Master had to add "Love-them whom He loves" to this wonderful sentence: "Love Him who loves all". Can we claim that we apply SahaJ Marg when we cannot manage to accept those whom Master loves, and - we do wrong to our Beloved's Mission? It seems to me that it is important foreach of us to look within himself in order to evaluate his loyalty to the Master, in this period where the future of our Mission is hanging in the balance, where the fate of humanity is hanging in the balance. I allow myself to make this remark to you because I am also in the batch. One day Master wrote to me: "Do not make the same mistake with so and so, thinking that he is not able to do the spiritual work. It is like those who thought that 1 was only good at being the general secretary of the Mission and nothing else."
Concerning the loyalty to the Method or the Mission: Who, among the people in charge of the Mission, never thought one day that he could improve the system, the way to teach abhyasis and preceptors, or reorganize the Mission? AlI this implies: "1 can do better than the Master." ln the past, lused to think that Sahaj Marg should be more opened, less exclusive. Along with time, thanks to Master's untiring work, 1 realized that my Master knows exactly what he is doing. I also realized that what He is proposing is fantastic, universal, going beyond all that I can imagine. What Master is offering humanity is accessible to each and all, no marter their intellectual, spiritual etc level. This opportunity of evolution has never been offered to humanity before. Master gives a direct access to the Ultimate.
For an occidental mind as mine, Sahaj Marg appears too simple. 1 understand day after day Babuji Maharaj's sentence :' "God is simple so the means to attain it must be simple". 1 remember a conversation our brother Krishna had with his mother. He asked her: "How do you do for conducting such extraordinary satsanghs?" She answered: "It is easy. 1 let Babuji take my place and he does all that is necessary." This is an other example which sheds light at the same time on Master's simplicity and on our complexity: when Master cancelled his visit to Europe last year, every one guessed about the reasons of this cancellation. ln fact he did not corne to Europe because Babuji ordered him so. It is as simple as that. If any one of us could obey to the Master as the disciple Parthasarathi does, we would live with a faith which moves mountains.
AlI my life I went deeply through the ways of consciousness and knowledge, and 1 came to a conclusion which is immediately accessible to every beginner in Sahaj Marg: the Master is the Way, the Mean, the Goal. He is AlI. Yet, after all these years of practice, 1 was surprised to still make a difference between God and the Master. 1 was upset by this thought which 1 tried to suppress in me: "God is more than the Master. But Babuji maintains the opposite". By His Grace, the answer came to me recently. The difference between God and the Master is myself. The solution: to get merged in Him. 'My anguish stopped, my life took a different direction. I left the way of Realization for the way of Fusion.

James Joseph, USA
Beloved Master, dear brothers and sisters,
Master has given us five themes to dwell upon for this Prefects Seminar. 1 am sure all prefects the world over have had the opportunity to ponder over them. 1 have a feeling that He is guiding us all to think on the same wavelength. However each of us is going to present our understanding and experiences in our own unique way, much like different instruments playing the same music. When we all play the same music the result is a grand symphony. Let this seminar be a grand symphony of Hearts where the great Master plays us to his divine music. Let us strive to be His willing instruments, with gratitude in our hearts for our immense good fortune to be cleaned and tuned and played by Him.
1 am going to humbly submit before you my own personal understanding of the transformation that Master wants to orchestrate in all of us in line with these five themes. 1 have tried as far possible to flow from the Heart. If there are any imperfections, 1 stand corrected.
It is my belief that in giving usthese five themes, in a way Master has shared with us His vision of what an ideal prefect should aspire or strive to be. If we were to summarize this vision of what a prefect should be in a short sentence, it would read some thing like this.
An ideal prefect is a person who is dedicated to the purpose of the Mission and has imbibed and internalized its teachings and practices with complete loyalty to the Master, Mission and Method, who treats all beings as brothers and sisters with an attitude of sharing.
1 would like to expand this a little further so as to enable us to understand this a little deeper in the context our daily life. This means that Master's work becomes the central core of our existence. Everything else revolves around il. We are completely dedicated to and loyal to Him, His mission and His method. We have no other allegiances. We work for Him and Him alone. We have understood not only the external but also the internaI meanings of the teachings and practices of Sahaj Margand imbibed and internalized its essence and core values. We lead a life of love, compassion and service, We treat all people as brothers and sisters. We understand that the essence of all beings is the ever abiding spirit. We share what we have with others with out any reservation. We understand that we are mere custodians of the abundance of Nature. Everything we have belongs to Him.
If we look at this vision closely we realize that we have onlyone person who is a perfect match to this vision, worthy of emulation. And that is Master Himself. If we want to be like Him, we have to change. But first we have to learn to change.
How we do we learn to Change? Master has.explained the process of change very clearly in his writings and talks. The first step for change is to feel dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs. No change is possible without a sense of restlessness. This restlessness or dissatisfaction can come due to various reasons, Master creates that restlessness by holding in front of us a mirror in which we can see our own reflection. The mirrOf He holds in front of us is his vision which is ultimately Himself. Through this process he lets us see for ourse Ives where we stand.
However it is not enough to feel a sense of dissatisfaction in a mindless way. It has to corne through a deep understanding of our inner workings. For this we need to reflect and also observe ourselves with mindfulness, attention and awareness so that our understanding is sufficiently deep Needless to say, this requires a great amount of discipline patience and will.
It is my understanding that underlying our behavior lies a labyrinth of fundamental beliefs or belief system as it is commonly referred to. It has to do with our assumptions ofwhat we are, why we are here and what is most important to us. An individual's belief system is built over a period oftime and is determinedand influenced by his or her back ground and life experiences and of course samskaras. Our belief system is reflected in our thoughts, actions and behavior. It is acfually a set of guidelines or rules that are burnt into us that we subconsciously follow. Whether we like it or noteach of us live by these mIes to the last letter. Thoughat times we may be persuaded rise above them we have a tendency to fall back in line. At the same time we must also remember that these belief systems are dynamic and ever changing. They get refined over a period oftime and get impacted by new experiences and influences.
The first step in understanding ourselves is to decipher our personalbelief system. It may appear to be avery easy task to the novice. But in reality, it is like trying to see the back of our head. It requires a rigorous pr6cess of introspection and reflectionin the light of Masters teachings to begin to understandour own belief system. It may take a long time before we start getting an initial glimpse of our beliefs. Then of course We are seized by self doubts After we pass this stage and we have our hands around what we believe to be ourbelief system, we have to confirm and verify them by observing ourselves in the laboratory of our lives and relationships. This can be very painful. But more painful and difficult is the process of acceptanee. It requires a tremendous amount of courage to accept our belief system. However once we accept our belief system with understanding, the process of change begins.
Over the past several years l have begun to understand that the fundamental beliefs of Sahaj Marg areencapsulated in ourprayer. When we say the prayer, we assert that Master is the real Goal of our life. We assert that weareyet but slaves of desires and habits which hinder our progress. We assert that we know for sure that He is the one who will lead us to our Goal.
So when the real meaning of the prayer unfolds within us as we say it every day with a heart full of
ove and devotion, Master becomes the center of our lives. The method that he has given us bec ornes our path to our goal. His mission is our mission, his work is our work .ln short we are dedicated to the purpose of the Mission, we are loyal to the Master, Method and Mission. We develop a deep reverence for the teachings and practice of Sahaj Marg and intemalize them deeply such that there is no room for distortion. Our love for the Master expands to include all whom He loves resulting in a feeling of brother hood and an attifude of sharing.
So all we need to do is replace our personal belief system with the Sahaj Marg belief system encapsulated in the Prayer. However it is not an easy task as all us know. First of all, it is not a step by step sequential process. And there are no rules or guidelines or process manuals. Each of us has a unique path of change cut out for us. We cannot leam from some one else's experience. It is an individual joumey. To add to the complexity, it is also an iterative process.
However Master has givenus ample guidelines and cIues as to how to make this happen. There is a wealth of information available to us in Master's writings and talks. We have the ten maxims which provides us the tenets by which to lead our lives. They transform us irrevocably if we apply them in our daily lives: Wehave been given a method encapsulated in our Sadhana which helps us in our evolution: We have a continuous flow of transmission available to us helping us to become divinized: More importantly we have a powerful role model in front of us in the personality of our Master who is there to guide us all the way. However in my opinion none of this will help us unless we have the intent. It is the intent that opens the windows of our hearts and invites the forces of change that can transform us. I think it is this intent Master is trying to create in us through this Seminar.
What 1 have laid out before you so far is my understanding of a framework for change. Now that we have discussed the process for change, let us look at how change occurs at the practical level once the intent is created. 1 am sure each ofus has a story to tellofhow we have changed. Allow me to share with you a major paradigm shift that happened to me recently which has been the result of several years of slow simmering. This experience has taught me a very valuable lesson. What one can leam from books and lectures is only atthe intellectual level. True realization occurs only when we are in the presence of the Master.
A few months back when 1 was traveling with Master in North India and Satkhol, 1 had this experience in a sitting that we are all little Hearts connected to His big throbbing Heart. Millions of little hearts were pulsating in resonance with the Master Heart. 1 saw life force in the form of bright red blood coursing through the arteries from the Master Heart bringing the little hearts alive. 1 felt that this big Master Heart was throbbing for more hearts, a deep longing to be connected to more hearts. A phrase formed in my mind "The Master is a lover of Hearts".
On another occasion when 1 was with Master 1 caught myself analyzing and forming opinions based on what 1 heard Him say and saw Him do. ln a flash of realization it dawned on me how foolish 1 was trying to understand the Master based just on the physical form and the inputs 1 received through the five senses. It suddenly occurred to me that the physical form is only the tip of the ice berg. What 1 can percieve with the senses is only a fraction of what He is, which may account for less than 1 %.ofthe whole The remaining 99%is hiddenbeneath the surface which 1 cannot perceive with the faculties of the senses. 1 felt a sense of helplessness. It was then that it hit me with full force of realization that if 1 want to really know Him, understand Him and realize Him 1 need to developthe faeulties of the heart. .
1 have stayed with this idea ever since. 1 have asked this question over and over again to myself. How can 1 live in this phenomenal. world and yet sense with the heart, live from the heart and flow with the heart? Is it practical, is it real or is it just a figment of imagination.
1 have made as ineere attempt ever sinee to understand what living from the heart is. Let me share with you my major learnings on this pursuit. The fust thing 1 realized is that the Master shave painstakingly explained again and again to us that Sahaj Marg is a path of the heart. We are taught to meditate on the heart beeause the heart is the seat of the soui. We know that Master puts Himselfinto our heart through bis transmission so as to transform us fromwithin. When we give sittings we close all our senses and work with the heart. Yet when we open my eyes we hardly use my heart. we rely mostly on oursenses , our intellect, memoriesand emotions.
1 realized that when we live from the Heart, we begin to understand what Master is and what his work really is. We understand that Master is a shepherd send from the center to herd us back to the source. We understand that he is doing the highest work of nature. He is completely dedicated to His work. He does.his work outofunconditionalpure love. When wework for Himwe are working for thehighest goal. Hence it is the most important work inour life. Everything else is secondto and subservient to thisprimary work. We do his work with gratitude, with sincerity and the highest level ofLoyalty. We leam to work like Him. We have no other allegiances superior to my allegiance to Him. We understand the immense value of His teachings and the practice. Through sincere practice, we intemalize his teachings and the practice. Theyare stored in the safest place :- our Hearts sothat there is no space for distortions and deviations.
l realized that when we live.from the heart, we see others in a different light. We are no more competing with them. We are no more trying to hide our true intentions from them. We no more look at them as wasting our time. We are no more suspicious ofthem. We don't need to watch OÙf backs. We don't need to pretend. We are not afraid- becausetheyare also manifestations ofGod like us. They are children ofthesame Master. We are all fruits ofthe same tree. Weareallpieces of the great grand puzzle. We are aIl drops in the mighty deep àcean. Instead we feel warmth towards them, we try to understand them, we develop empathy, and we share with them what we have without expecting even gratitude in retum. Even if we have to berate them, we do it with love and respect Wethink positively about them. We forgive when they hurt us. We feel that in this earth school every personwe meet have something to teach us and we have some thing to give to them. We look at everyinteraction as a precious opportunity to contribute to the growth and harmony of the universe.
When we live from the Heart, we live inthe present, in the moment We don't carry the burden of the past from one moment to the next Every moment is a fresh opportunity for us to createa future unsullied by the past.We live with mindfulness and complete awareness in constant remembrance. We are neither weighed by the memories of thepast noranxious about the uncertainties of the future for we know He carries us in the palm of His hand.
When we live from the Heart, werealize that we are connected with the Master's heart. Master's Heart gives us sustenance. Qurhearts beat in resonance with His. We are surrendered to Hil11 with absolute dependence. He runs our life. He is the train to realization. We know that as long as we are on board he will take us there irrespective ofwherewe sit We are hisservants. We strive to become like Him and become one with Him.
When we live from the heart we deal with others with Maturity. We strive to be authentic persons who mean what we say and say what we mean.We do notget carried away by praise nor offended by criticism. We accept our mistakes with humility. We are judicious and yet not judgmental. We are firm yet polite. We live with awareness, always ready and willing ta improve ourselves. We practiceourvalues in all the rolesthat we play. We live with integrity.
When we live from the Heart, we behave and speak with others with respect. We have no preconceived notions and prejudices; we do not take things personally. Weare always ready to serve others. We make ourselves available. We do our best in whatever we do. We have patience. We know what to do and when. We listen with attention.
Finally, when we live from the Heart we try to live the ten maxims in our daily life. We do our Sadhana with diligence and devotion. We try to livea simple life in tune with Nature. We treat our miseries as divine blessings and take pain and pleasure unequivocaUy. We live a life filled with love, compassion and service.
It is my conviction that the reason why Ii1any of us do not change despite several years of meditation is that when faced with the world, we react with the values of the world which have become embedded in our personal belief system. We carry thesebelief systems based on materialism in our interaction with abhyasis and prefects which leads to competition, lack of trust and disharmony. Insteadof dealing with the heart, we deal with the ego and self interest. We fail to perceive the inner meaning of the teachings and the practice because we try to understand them from the point of view of the intellect. This shallow understandingJeads to Interpretations based on individual thinking which leads to distortions and deviations. Even in our relationship with Master we evaluate Him and what he says in the light of our belief system and arrive at our own conclusions and judgments ofhis personality. Our relationship with Him is li
"In November, 1994, during his first visit to Australia, Mr Smith's master asked if he was interested in marriage, and told him about a girl who had accompanied the master on the trip." (sic) Laissons maintenant la parole à John :"He introduced us and said we should discuss it and if we felt it appropriate he would arrange our marriage date. After going on a walk together we both came back in agreement and after a group meditation that evening Master announced our engagement." (re-sic).
Effarant…
Max, routard américain de passage à Manapakkam pour 13 jours, nous renseigne sur la manière dont Chari marie ses adeptes : "Quite Impressive today to watch the president of the Mission marry 6 couples in 15 mins. ... talk about getting the job done. Chariji is the man." le 30 novembre 2005, sur son blog http://maxindia.blogspot.com/2005/11/acclimation-13-days-in-chennai.html

Hi Elodie First thing i would like to put one question that did u joined in SRCM for meditation or to know how things going on. Might be Master asked you to stop proliferating mails because people like you will spreads gossips easily without knowing any truth and makes other to distriub. As far i know that Master always encourge to express things freely which are related to your sadhana. As you mentioned that "In his last trip near Satkhol, Chari was asked by an ahyasi. "What is it that you are most lokking for in an abhyasi who comes to you ?" and his answer, report by Clark Powell in sahaj Sandesh, was : "I don't know what I am looking for. But the easiest way is total obedience. Unquestioning obedience." But could we accept total obedience when confidence is out ?".......from this people like you always can spread rumours easily with out knowing what master says and like Clark Powell can manipulate masters message. Dear Michael,
SRCM is nothing else but Sufism. See the link below which has got nothing to do with SRCM and you will find all the information about Lalaji maharaj with his photo which you would not find even in SRCM literature.
geocities.com/sufisaints/SufismIndia.htm
IT IS SUFISM. But I am sure many abhyasis do not know it. The practice of meditation is great. Although you have left SRCM as an organisation, I sincerely believe, you can still meditate using this system. After all this is not SRCM technique, it's a Sufi technique. AAnd you will find in the link I have given above,a comment saying that there have been Islamic sufis, Hindu sufis, Christian sufis. So sufism does not belong to any particular religion. A person of any religion can practise it for meditation. I don't think really that one needs a living master when the Divine master ( the one within you in your heart )himself guides you. Infact I personally believe, that the living master teaches you the techniques externally, may be once or twice, but it is the Divine master within you who do the actual work. He is with you all the time, whether you are an SRCM member, or not. He is your true Master. After all during Lalaji maharaj's time, people were following this meditaion technique without being members of SRCM simply because SRCM as an organisation did not even exist then. And most inportant is , they still succeeded and enjoyed spirituality to the greatest heights. So it's not the oraganisation that is important, it's our will and effort to be with the Divine Master. Afetr all living masters are for the Divine Master thats why living masters are many, but the divine master has always been one and the same one forever.
I sincerely feel ' Do not stop meditation ' for the oraganisation that you don't like anymore.
With very sincere brotherly feelings from my heart to you.

Dear brother/sister
Furstration is a part of life and one has to deal with it. Rather, we have to find a way to realease it. And i think the meditation practice and teaching of sahaj marg is the best for it.
As far a the cost of Whispers from the brighter world is considered, it is an expensive book. But, realise that it costed in india (poor developing economy where 30% of the people still starve)10,000 Rs. per print. My salary is just 11,000 Rs. but I paid for it (and was not allowed to purchase in a group), because I realise that messages from the divine are PRICELESS. Why the Mission is chargeing more money is simply because it can be used to build more ashrams throughout the world, which ones like me and you would use for negligble cost. I reckon that many poor abhyasis can attend large gatherings or bhandaras because well off abhyasis fund the mission and so it can charge very little for its services. When i joined the mission i used to seek the negative points
in it, I found some but at the same time a lot of positive things also. Which actually exceeded the former. I have thus realised, the BEST state of mind of a HUMAN BEING is POSITIVE, which the mission has given me.
Sahaj Marg needs to be improved, and it is improving. The matter is only of time. One should realise that Sahaj Marg is a spiritual organisation and not a political organisation. Freedom of speech, expression etc are politically relevant wherein people struggle for power/priveleges so that they can enhance their wealth and prestige. Concepts of dissemination of benefits to the people through political process are relevent only when benefits are TANGIBLE and affect the very physical survival of the being. Spiritual teaching is intangible, and priceless because it helps us come out from the filth we are living in. Yes, we all get perturbed on not being able to meet our desires, but these are trivial matters till the time we evaluate RATIONALLY the spiritual benefits of SAHAJ MARG. Please realise that inspite of all the intransigence on the part of abhyasis, they all are dealt with love, acceptance and affection. Yes, mistakes do happen and they are human, but people are always forgiven in spirituality, after all forgivenss is a divine gift.
No matter what, a persistent practice would make any true seeker aware of the divine plan, political problems within the mission are very trivial ,the divine plan seeks to softly uproot them and abhyasis would be witness to it.
With love
An optimist well wisher
